The following is a list of church committees and their responsibilities: Council of Ministries: Provide oversight and support for individual church committees to help identify ministry opportunities, establish and maintain priorities, and provide clarification of roles and responsibilities. Board of Trustees: Committee on Finance: Provide oversight and direction in conjunction with Church pastoral leadership on the financial activities of the Church. Nominating Committee: Staff-Parish Relations Committee: Education Committee: Provide oversight and support in establishing the educational priorities, activities, and goals of the Church. Nurture and Care Committee: Provide oversight and direction in defining, establishing and maintaining opportunities for nurture and care of church membership and church property. Missions Committee: Provide oversight and support in defining, establishing, and maintaining opportunities for the Church to contribute to the local and extended community by actively pursuing evangelical as well as secular mission opportunities. Worship Committee: Provide oversight and support in conjunction with the Church Pastoral staff to define goals, needs and opportunities to minister to the church membership through Worship Services. Fund B Committee: Provide oversight and decision making processes to funding requests received by the Church. Evangelism Committee: Provide oversight and support in identifying, defining and maintaining Evangelism opportunities for the Church and its membership in local and extended communities. Wills and Legacies Committee: Fine Arts Committee: Youth Advisory: Provide direction and support in establishing the outreach to, education of, and missions opportunities for the church youth. Housekeeping Committee: Audit Committee: Audio-Visual Committee: Provide oversight and support in establishing opportunities to enhance the Worship experience and Church presentations of programs and information for church members and community citizens through the use of audio-visual components. Ushers: The Stewardship of ushering is an important part of the morning worship service. The participation of in this ministry is greatly appreciated. If you should be interested in this activity please contact one of the Ushers to have your name placed on the list. Lay Readers: The position of Lay Reader is an important part of the 10:45 a.m., service. Reading the Scripture is especially important to the worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In this ministry a member is selected to read the Old Testament Lesson on one or possible two Sundays per year.
